How To Totally Side-Step Costly AdSense Mistakes
Even though times are changing, with Facebook, Google has dominated the online business world for a long time. The reason Google has been able to reach such heights is because of the high quality results they offer and due to their commitment to accuracy and relevancy. Google upholds its online and business reputation by putting forth a comprehensive set of terms of service that everybody needs to obey. Google's Adsense program has been a standout for almost ten years as a reliable and profitable means for site monetization. There are special and unique mistakes that can be made with Adsense, and obviously you don't want to make them. So this article is all about how to completely side-step some of these nasty errors in Adsense.
Privacy is an important issue and concern with Google, always, and it's something you will need to pay special attention to, as well. Google absolutely does not want any of its Adsense publishers from showing their particular areas of their Adsense account. Your click through rate is one such forbidden area as well as earnings from your ad blocks, etc. Everything is discussed in their Adsense TOS, and of course they'll expect you to read it and know it. The basic rule is no details of your earnings can be revealed, although you can reveal what your total Adsense earnings are. The only people who tend to do that are IM marketers who are promoting a product related to making money with Adsense.
Putting up adjacent images will only confuse your visitors. Not so long ago publishers tried to increase their ad click through rate by putting up images next to or adjacent to their text links in an attempt to (falsely) get readers to think that the images represented the text ads being displayed. Therefore, inserting a line or even a small space between your ads isn't allowed. It is your job to make sure that your site images and ads are arranged so that visitors can clearly tell the difference between the two. Avoiding such small mistakes goes a long way in ensuring that your account is safe and your relationship with Google isn't affected.
You also need to make sure that you do not put your ads on pages that do not contain relevant content; these include "thank you" pages and registration pages. Let's face it; advertisers are paying money to display ads on pages that have targeted content. This is because great content leads to great ads. So, unless and until your page has good amount of content, don't put up AdSense on it.
You really can become very successful with Adsense, it will take time, but you need to make sure you're always following the TOS. A lot about these various programs is just a question of learning new information a few skills.
