The top MLM industry leaders will choose to work with companies that are at least five years old and those that are publicly traded. Although industry leaders do not always work with only companies on the stock exchange, a company that sells shares of stock has demonstrated credibility and responsibility in the market place.

The top network marketing organizations are filled with those who have made it from the bottom to the top of the pay scale. These are the people who new associates need to pattern themselves after. These are the people who can be the best mentors in the business. These people did not start out at the top, but they put in the time and effort and learned how to become a success.

He or she rose to the top of the pay ranks and has the information to share on how he or she made it there. He can help show people how to streamline their efforts and make the most of their selling time. Everyone joining a network marketing company does so in order to make money. The only difference is the amount of money a person wants to make. Some want to make a little supplemental income whereas some one to make millions of dollars. But the person who looks to help from those who have been successful are more likely to reach their goals.

But one cannot simply go up to a successful person and ask for help. This will lead in most cases to a polite refusal. The person who is a success is a busy person.

Instead, they went out and made success happen. They went out and told others about their business. They did not wait for people to come to them. These people will hesitate before agreeing to help mentor others.

The successful person is more likely to mentor the person who demonstrates a sincere interest in reaching a higher level. The best way to approach these people is to first put together a list of goals. Have a one year, three year, and five year plan available when speaking with the successful person. Do not simply ask for help, but ask for specific help. As for help in handling objections from potential recruits for instance.

The mentor will greatly increase a new associate's chance of success. But the new associate must know how to approach a potential mentor. The associate who makes herself worthy of help is more likely to receive it. It is not easy to get to the top. But when a mentor is showing and leading the way, success is more likely to happen.
