Succeeding At Prepaid Legal
Prepaid Legal offers a great product in which you pay a nominal monthly fee and are able to have the suggestion of an attorney just a telephone call away. This is basically like having your own lawyer on retainer. The services are different, but you can have benefits that vary from phone consultation, IRS audit legal services to even trial defense. So even though this is a great product, why are so many people failing?
Seeing as Prepaid Legal is a publicly traded company, they are required to release records at the end of every quarter. Their third quarter, 2009 information revealed several very disquieting details. They acknowledged that 85% of their sales reps either walks out or fails to make even one sale. Adding on to that, only 2% make ten or more sales per year. Based on those numbers a lot of people are earning a lot of money. But why not others? They have well over one million distributors, but 980,000 of them are unable to make more than ten sales this year.
The number one marketing approach in this business is to formulate a warm market list. This is where you will jot down everybody that you are acquainted with and try to sell them your product. You are also taught to sell the business of becoming a sales rep as well, because that is where a lot of the big bucks is made; earning a commission on the retailing of the product from those distributors that you brought into the business. This is a proven tactic that has worked time and again aside from that it is not a tactic that is effective for each one. One individual's warm market list and circle of influence is very different from that of another.
Having said that, this is not to declare that because one person's warm market list is not any good or runs out quickly that they will not do well in Prepaid Legal. If that warm market list is not effective for you, then you will need to learn a different marketing strategy. The obstacle lies within the reality that there is not much training given to other marketing strategies. As spoken prior the warm market approach works, just not for everybody. By learning how to draw others to you is the solution to any new marketing plan you endeavor. They will yearn to study and attain success from what you have to suggest them; you must turn into a leader in your own right.
You will also need to become skilled at how to produce 50-100 of your own leads on a daily basis. These are your own leads in which you can market and sell to at anytime you deem suitable. You will never run out of people to show products or business opportunities with when you learn how to make your own leads.
